Risk Management
The Dewender Foundation follows a long-term and risk-conscious approach to fulfilling its charitable mission. Risks are regularly assessed and mitigated through appropriate organisational, financial and insurance-related measures.
The Foundation’s assets are managed in accordance with a published Investment Policy. The objective is to preserve the Foundation’s long-term financial strength while achieving appropriate investment returns.
Clearly defined responsibilities, documented decision-making processes and regular reporting to the Foundation’s governing bodies and supervisory authorities form the basis of sound and responsible governance.
The Foundation maintains appropriate insurance coverage to safeguard against significant organisational and financial risks.
Insurance coverage is reviewed regularly and adjusted as the Foundation develops and grows. It covers both the Foundation itself and its governing bodies and includes professional indemnity insurance as well as Directors’ and Officers’ (D&O) liability insurance.
