Funding
Founded in 2012, the Dewender-Stiftung supports selected projects and initiatives in Wachtendonk and the surrounding region. Our particular focus is on activities that create opportunities for young people, promote education, and strengthen social cohesion. A key focus of our funding is the Deutschlandstipendium.
The foundation is active in four core areas:
- Education – school-based, extracurricular, and study-related support
- Arts & Culture – local cultural work, artistic projects, and events
- Sport – club and youth sports, and promotion of physical activity
- Civic Engagement – initiatives that strengthen community spirit and participation
The focus of our funding activities is Wachtendonk and the surrounding Lower Rhine region. We support selected projects in the areas of education, participation and community engagement.
- School-based educational projects and education partnerships
- Support for local cultural and arts projects
- Promotion of youth and club sports
- Projects with social or community benefit
- Student support through regional universities
